Banchory Beavers is a non profit making club dedicated to the improvement of swimmers in Banchory and it's surrounding area, run by a large group of volunteers consisting of UKCC qualified teachers & coaches, committee members and parent helpers.
We are currently located at the Banchory Academy swimming pool, Raemoir Road, Banchory, Aberdeenshire AB31 5XP with a membership of over 300 swimmers aged between 5 and 18.
Banchory Beavers is one of the four clubs belonging to South Aberdeenshire Swimming (SAS).
SAS is a joint initiative involving local swimming clubs, Aberdeenshire Council and Scottish Amateur Swimming Association to develop swimming in South Aberdeenshire. There are four participating clubs, these are:

We have a well established Learn To Swim programme where children can develop from non swimmers into competent swimmers. We hold 1/2 hr weekly swim sessions for swimmers to progress through the 6 levels of our programme. Please see our Calendar page and Documents page for more details.
Once swimmers have completed our Learn To Swim programme, we offer the opportunity for swimmers to move into our Competitive programme, this works in conjuntion with the South Aberdeenshire Swimming (SAS) programme and the Scottish Swimming Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD). There are five levels to our competitive programme with training hours progressing from 1 hour per week up to 16 hours per week. We are recognised as a successful competitive club within the Scottish North District who compete regularly in local club galas, North District Championships, Scottish National and British events with the potential for Commonwealth and Olympic competitors.
